In 1963, when I was unable to find quality education for my own children, Miss Carden urged me to open my own school, and, with the encouragement of other dedicated parents, I founded Carden Hall in Newport Beach. The results were, and continue to be, wondrous!

Having subsequently operated upper-level schools with my husband in the Pacific Northwest and on the East Coast, I realized that my heart’s work lay in opening another Carden elementary and junior high school. After conducting a survey of Orange county schooling needs, I selected South County area for Carden Academy of Basic Education.
